Happy Anniversary

September 8, 2011

For her parents Anniversary, Jessica got them a photo session while they were in town visiting. How cool is that. I feel so lucky to have been able to photograph this family three times now. It has been so much fun to see their sweet little boy grow from a tiny newborn to a two year old. He is such a smart and spunky boy. Here are a few of my favorites from our session.

The best gift ever.

This was a really fun shoot. Fun, because Tania is cool, laid back and fun person to be around. And also fun because it is Christmas surprise for her family. She is making CD’s for her family for Christmas. How cool is that? It made for a really fun shoot because we were thinking of settings that would make for a cool album cover. I can’t wait to see which one Tania choose for the CD (remember you promised you would tell me :) ). Check out a few of my favorites from the shoot.

Coolest. Hobbies. Ever.

What do you do when your senior client lets you know that not only will she be shooting at an equestrian park but that she also rides a motorcycle. You squeal like a little girl, that is what you do. Seriously though, how cool is Jordan? Not only is she extremely beautiful, has was awesome hobbies but she is also just so sweet. Lucky for me I got to meet her whole family as well and let me tell you they are just awesome people. They are kind to each other and have fun together. This was a great shoot and here are some of my favorites.

All Boy.

It’s always fun to meet up with repeat clients. I got to photograph little Anderson when he was one year old and what a beautiful little guy he was. And now he’s two and he is even cuter and just so smart. It is fun to hear him talk and see how much he has changed in just a year. He gave me a run for my money but I am so happy with the shots that we got. Here are some of my favorites.

California Babe!!!

September 23, 2010

When Maeli and I talked on the phone, she was telling me all about how she hates to take pictures and doesn’t have any pictures for her business for that very reason. She wanted to get some head shots done. Well I feel for her, because I myself hate to take pictures. But that is because I usually look awful in 90% of the pictures. So imagine my surprise when I show up and I am greeted by a tall, blond, drop dead gorgeous girl. And then Maeli and I start shooting and it turns out that she has a killer personality to go with her looks *sigh* Yes, she has it all. It was a wonderful shoot and I love the pictures we got. Check out some of my favorites.

This is my friend Crystal. She is a total babe and she is getting married. I am really excited for her and Jordan and can’t wait for the big day. We are going to have a blast. We had so much fun doing the pictures for her engagements it was hard for me to not take a fabulous picture of Crystal because she is gorgeous. I brought my little sister along and we laughed almost the entire time. This wedding is going to be awesome!

Lovely in White

I had the pleasure (and a little humbling) experience of photographing the boss’ family. This is Todd’s beautiful mom, his lovely sister and her darling kids. Aren’t the redheads just adorable? I think I am biased towards redheads because I have two myself. I thought these pictures turned out just lovely. The temple was a beautiful backdrop for these fun family photos.

We meet again

June 22, 2010

What a way to jump back into shooting, after having a nice little maternity break. I got to meet up with a client that I have shot before. Sweet little James and his wonderfully loving parents. It was so fun to see how much this little guy has grown (I shot him when he was just a few weeks old). He just as cute as ever and his mom still dresses him so dang cute. (check out the tiny boat shoes!) I also was so excited that his mom brought him his first ever cupcake and let him go at it. We got some great shots of him destroying his cake. Check out a few of my favorites from the shoot.

The perfect light

May 18, 2010

So, I am over the top excited about this maternity shoot that I did with my sister in law. When she told me what she wanted to do and what she was wearing, I knew exactly where we should go. She brought awesome props that made my job super fun. It also helps that she and Russell are gorgeous and super photogenic. It was seriously so hard for me to narrow down which shots to post, I am in love with over 50 of them. The lighting was magical and Melissa was seriously glowing. And since this was for family Gideon came on the shoot with me and he slept the whole time. What a sweetie! Also on a side note; I am really bummed one of the locations in Layton that I like to shoot at is being torn down. It was this place with these really old houses that were falling apart. Why must we destroy wonderful photo locations? Anyway, Melissa, I hope that you love these as much as I do!

This post is long over due!  I have been so completely smitten with my new little guy that I have neglected posting pictures of him.  These pictures are from a shoot when he was two weeks old, he is now almost two months old!!  How I wish I could slow down time, he is changing right before my eyes.  I will be back to shooting again soon, but until then, enjoy my little love muffin.
